Senior Infrastructure Architect Job Role:
This role focuses on Infrastructure Architecture and Design including network, servers, storage, middleware, infrastructure virtualization, hypervisors, advanced virtualization, automation principles, fundamental Infrastructure as a service and hybrid clouds, systems management software, the physical facilities that support the infrastructure components and data center operational processes.
Included in the focus areas is the critical evaluation and selection of the hardware and software components of the infrastructure. Infrastructure Architects are primarily responsible for understanding Client Business Requirements converting them into Technical Build Requirements to deliver optimal client business services.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the assessment and definition of technology direction which aligns with IT strategy in order to meet complex system requirements. Defines the complex technical platforms utilizing architectural modeling principles as a part of an IT architecture framework.
Ensures coherence across all aspects of the IT architecture framework and underlying taxonomies.
Works closely with IT leaders to apply IT strategy to medium and long-term architecture vision.
Responsible for alignment of architecture prioritization to corporate IT strategic initiatives.
Provides guidance and direction to IT personnel regarding architectural direction and initiatives.
Responsible for linkage between enterprises planning and architecture current and future state visions via technology road maps.
Oversees all activities related to research, technical requirements, modeling, visualization and communication of IT technology solutions across projects and technology spaces.
Reviews and communicates decisions and Enterprise Architectural direction to Senior IT Leadership.
Accountable for the effective application of enterprise architecture standards, classifications, and design patterns to drive enterprise solutions.
Champions common technology and application standards to foster reuse.
Provide subject matter expertise across technology/functions to drive implementation of technology strategy and roadmap direction.
Lead improvement initiatives which address opportunities and upcoming challenges.
Serve as a change agent to implement new strategic directions and technology decisions.
Maintain awareness of emerging technology and software trends as well as infrastructure tool sets across technology or functional domain.
Reviews evaluations and recommendations for new selection and purchase decisions.
Leads requirements meetings for the most complex IT architecture projects.
Uses status as a functional leader to provide technical leadership to the most complex IT architecture projects.
Reviews and presents to leadership the necessary changes to existing infrastructure and system configuration to support strategic goals.
Provides expertise in complex application and network integration; recommends process improvements to leadership.
Fosters positive relationships with other functions and between IT disciplines to effectively promote and guide the development of cutting-edge IT architecture.
Maintains strong relationships with outside experts; participates in roundtables and conferences.
Reviews most complex cost/benefit analysis when investigating purchase and development decisions; makes recommendations for best solution based on expertise and broad business knowledge.
Technical
Qualifications: 10
years related work experience working with infrastructure technologies support, setup, monitoring and performance testing.
A minimum of 5 years in an Infrastructure Architect role in developing infrastructure design solutions covering network, server, database, application, and reporting domains.
Ability to translate disparate business strategies into comprehensive, pragmatic technology strategies and execution plans (roadmaps) to satisfy business strategy.
Ability to design and deliver solutions that factor in system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability while accounting for development and maintenance costs.
Broad technical expertise with the software and hardware components of modern computing environments, including a deep knowledge and understanding of information technology approaches, applications, architectures, tools, and methodologies, as well as a broad-based background in a wide variety of technology platforms.
Has depth and breadth of expertise in multiple related disciplines, such as Windows Operating systems, Unix Operating Systems (Client UX, AIX, and Oracle Enterprise Linux), server, storage, network, security, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
Demonstrated ability in evaluating and recommending technologies as part of an overall strategic plan, including establishing priorities, developing long-range plans, and managing strategically.
Strong communication skills (written / verbal) with varied audiences
Experience modeling as-is and to-be architectures based on business requirements
PreferencesSolid grasp of the ITIL framework
Experience with researching/implementing Cloud Based solutions.
Experience explaining difficult concepts to decision makers to help shape technology strategy
Detailed design knowledge of hardware, networking, database and applications in a large data center scenario.
Active/Active and Disaster Recovery design experience.
Bachelors Degree required. Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or Related Field
Responsible for designing scalable and adaptive hardware solutions that address business needs and satisfy operational needs within the Enterprise standards.
Develop proofs-of-concept and prototype architecture to help illustrate approaches to technology and business problems.
Create standardized visual design diagrams of logical infrastructure, including platform, storage, and networking information.
Participate in technical architecture discussions to determine the most-appropriate scalable model, taking into consideration high availability, failover, disaster recovery, and cost.
Actively participate in project, support, and development initiatives designing solutions to optimally address current and future business requirements and infrastructure plans.
Champion the appropriate use of technology and provide leadership in balancing technical elegance with functional requirements and practical benefits, as we implement and integrate technologies.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
