# General Description
Responsible for manage overall potential risk elements and process in Samsung?s customer care, including sensing, auditing, evaluating, and setting improvement plans for the consumer electronics and mobile handset market. To succeed, the incumbent will have to identify and leverage all possible information sources, both internal and external. Provide professional analytical support in the collection, evaluation, and reporting of the corrective actions of internal risk management process and operation. Strive to become the expert on operation process, the business stake holders and related public organizations. Incumbent will also develop and report the Samsung?s overall risk management status, including customer PL case progress in both consumer electronics and mobile handset market. Job has higher autonomy to direct some level of reasoning and logical analyses in order to form solutions to problems.
Functions as overall Consumer Electronic (CE) or Mobile (IM) market risk management expert of Samsung. Identifies and cultivates external sources, including government policy and regulations, to better understand the market and our directions. Collect, analyze, and report on the corrective as well as preventive actions of our process including PL, and media exposure, etc. Work with internal and external sources to gather and organize comprehensive data that related to potential risk areas. Direct communication and collaborative work regarding CS risk are one of major responsibilities. Work with product liability teams to understand the CE and IM issues, new policy and service roll-outs to provide tactical and strategic level risk and liability recommendations. Closely work with insurance agency and law firm to manage urgent cases and participate on site investigation if necessary. The incumbent will be major communication channel with HQ, legal and PR departments in North American HQ , Samsung Electronics America and Samsung Electronics Canada Americas for major risk and PL cases. Develop weekly/monthly competitive updates to management in responsible areas. Facilitate issues and PL cases between organizations and departments to resolve and minimize brand and customer claims. Prepare competitive analyses on an ongoing basis. Prepare white papers and strategic alerts for management and to process owners.
# Necessary Skills / Attributes
+ Bachelor's Degree with 12-15 years of directly related experience is required.
+ Prior experience in mobile and CE product industry or corporate level risk management field.
+ Also product quality management related official institution or government experience is highly valued.
+ Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills required.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead virtual teams in task management and execution.
+ Experience developing strategic presentations using a variety of PC applications.
+ Develop and maintain excellent proactive and reactive working relationships with all levels within and outside the company.
+ Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple complex assignments and projects.
+ Read and interpret detailed and complex market research & trend documents, media materials, and contracts (or related documents) based on corporate legal, marketing and service standards and philosophy.
+ Demonstrated exemplary performance in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at all levels, especially in the customer service, customer experience and risk management areas of clients, prospects, and within Samsung North America.
Physical/Mental Demands and Conditions
Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
