Manager, Mobile Strategy & Analytics

Position Summary Role and Responsibilities Headquartered in Ridgefield Park, N.J., Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (SEA) is a recognized innovation leader in consumer electronics design and technology. A wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., SEA delivers a broad range of digital consumer electronics, mobile products and wearables, wireless infrastructure, IT and home appliance products. We're looking for Manager Analytics manager to join Samsung's Mobile Strategy and Analytics team. As part the Mobile Strategy and Analytics team, you will help Samsung executive's understand current state of smartphone market, note key trends and competitive threats to drive decision making.  You will work cross functionally within Samsung's Mobile business from Finance, Marketing, Account Sales teams and Business Planning. The position will require a blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and organizational influence. Key success factors in this role include attention to detail, statistics/finance acumen, influencing skills, strong understanding of data and ability to deep dive to find the so what? Must be data literate, strong understanding of data hierarchies and how simple fields in data impact market perspectives. Our business is evolving--we are looking for a dynamic individual that can see the big strategic picture with a strong attention to detail. Necessary Skills and Attributes: Contribute to strategic business decision making by deriving insight from market and consumer data on the main issues of the brand, product and channel Demonstrated financial acumen, statistical analysis, ability to draw key insights from data and the "so what?" contributing to midterm and long term strategy. Ability to reconcile conflicting interpretation of data on market sell out and direction, competitor insights and strategy, experience working with syndicated research such as Strategy Analytics or IDC a plus, experience communicating with outside stakeholders is a must.     Manage the daily operations of an internal market sensing system, support account team requests while ensuring business requirements are met in a timely fashion.  Strong understanding of data hierarchies and penchant for due diligence. Deliver regular/ad-hoc reports with actionable recommendations to Mobile division and Samsung Executive team, demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced work environment with shifting priorities, you are comfortable in ambiguity and can work to meet tight deadlines. Strong political savvy, communication and relationship management. Experience working cross functionally in a highly matrixed organization, can come to mutually beneficial solutions to all stakeholders. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
